Zach Millwood is owner and reedmaker with Tiger Reeds handmade Bassoon and Oboe Reeds.  He currently lives in East Tennessee near the scenic Great Smoky Mountains national park, operating Tiger Reeds in addition to performing regionally on bassoon, oboe, flute, pennywhistle, and many eclectic instruments.

Private studio: Mr. Millwood's students study both locally in the Knoxville area and long-distance via the internet.  Many students live halfway across the country but can't go without their lesson fix!

Teaching history: Formerly a Bassoon, Oboe, and Flute instructor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Mr. Millwood taught 40+ 6th-12th grade students each week, consistently earning First Division ratings at Solo and Ensemble contests, qualifying for Region Band and Area Band, obtaining college scholarships on their instruments, and attending the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, the region's premiere arts magnet high school. They continue to represent the finest musical qualities on these two very difficult instruments.

Education: University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under world-renowned bassoon pedagogist William Winstead and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with D. Keith McClelland.  Mr. Millwood has performed in music festivals and masterclasses in Italy and the United States with some of the world's foremost advancing classical artists. In addition to performing throughout the Dallas, Cincinnati, and East Tennessee regions with orchestras and a variety of ensembles, he can be heard on Bill Cook's latest CD, "Pieces in Corners".

Teachers: He has studied with William Winstead (UC-CCM), Kim Walker (University of Indiana, Bloomington), Phillip Kolker (Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore Symphony), John Miller (University of Minnesota, Minnesota Orchestra), Charles Ullery (University of Minnesota, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra), Chris Weait (Ohio State University), Jeff Keesecker (Florida State University), Xian Zhang (former Associate Conductor, New York Philharmonic), Jennifer Ownby (Colorado Reeds), and Eric Barr (Dallas Opera Orchestra).
