Welcome!

Zach Millwood is owner and reedmaker with Tiger Reeds handmade Bassoon and Oboe Reeds.  He currently lives in East Tennessee near the scenic Great Smoky Mountains national park, operating Tiger Reeds in addition to performing regionally on bassoon, oboe, flute, pennywhistle, and many eclectic instruments.

Private studio: Mr. Millwood's students study both locally in the Knoxville area and long-distance via the internet.  Many students live halfway across the country but can't go without their lesson fix!

Teaching history: Formerly a Bassoon, Oboe, and Flute instructor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Mr. Millwood taught 40+ 6th-12th grade students each week, consistently earning First Division ratings at Solo and Ensemble contests, qualifying for Region Band and Area Band, obtaining college scholarships on their instruments, and attending the prestigious Booker T. They continue to represent the finest musical qualities on these two very difficult instruments.

Education: University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under world-renowned bassoon pedagogist William Winstead and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with D.
